We are pleased to announce that on September 17, the function of the President of the Polish Society of Allergology in the 2021-2024 term was assumed by prof. Maciej Kupczyk.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Prof. Maciej Kupczyk graduated from the Medical University of Lodz (in 2001) and postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Lodz University of Technology. He is specialist in the field of internal medicine (2008) and in allergology (2012). He is an employee of the Department of Internal Diseases, Asthma and Allergy at the Medical University of Lodz.<\/p>\n

The research interests of the new President of the PTA include respiratory system physiology and respiratory allergies (inflammatory background, diagnostics, pharmacotherapy and immunotherapy). He conducted research on nasal lysine aspirin provocation and immunological mechanisms of allergy development as well as diagnostics and therapy of severe asthma.<\/p>\n

Prof. Maciej Kupczyk is a long-term member of the Society, he held many responsible positions within the \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Regional Branch and the Executive Committee of PTA, and in 2018 at the General Assembly of Delegates he was elected President-Elect.<\/p>\n

We wish the new PTA President a lot of success!<\/p>\n

On September 17, the General Assembly of Delegates elected the new authorities of the Polish Society of Allergology for the 2021-2024 term.<\/p>\n
