It is with great concern and sadness that the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology continues to witness the situation unfolding in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
While we are an organization which represents healthcare professionals across Europe, including both Ukraine and Russia, we abhor the use of violence or war and its use in settling disputes of any kind.
\nWe do not hold our Russian doctors and scientists accountable for the atrocities which are ongoing, but regrettably, a Country\u2019s governmental decisions spill over to its nationals.<\/p>\n
We cannot take a neutral stance in this occasion, so we have decided to suspend Russia from our National Allergy Society (NAS) Committee, including dual membership benefits, until further notice.<\/p>\n
Attendance by Russian delegates to our EAACI events remains in observation, depending on the future developments in the conflict.
\nWe sincerely hope that peace and the spirit of dialogue will prevail, and that violence will be halted immediately.<\/p>\n
